A MAN who breached a suspended sentence order when he stole a large quantity of sun cream has been jailed.

Owen James Sacala, 42, was accused of stealing £146 worth of sun cream from Boots in Bournemouth on July 17 last year.

Sacala, whose address was given as West Cliff Road, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to the single charge of theft and breach of the suspended sentence at a Poole Magistrates’ Court hearing on Tuesday, April 5.

The defendant received three six-week suspended sentences for three offences of theft at the same court in April last year.

Magistrates committed Sacala to prison for two weeks consecutive for the sun cream theft. The bench decided to active the suspended sentences as a total of 10 weeks, meaning the offender received an overall sentence of 12 weeks.

He was also ordered to pay £146 compensation to Boots.
