THE popular Christchurch pancake race is set to return with residents greasing up their frying pans in anticipation.
Teams of four are invited to enter the event, which takes place from 9am to 11am on Tuesday, March 1, on the Bowling Green opposite the King's Arms in Bridge Street.
The Shrove Tuesday event will also be the first organised with support from the Christchurch Business Improvement District (BID) since it was formed.
Money raised from the races will go to the Christchurch Food Festival Education Trust.
Entry is £20 for a team, with fancy dress expected and good trainers advised.
Participants and spectators will be able to enjoy coffee, tea and pastries.
