A TEENAGER has been arrested after two people were stabbed near the Branksome Recreation Ground in Poole.
Dorset Police received a report at 8.59pm that two male victims – a 17-year-old boy and a man aged in his 20s – had been found with suspected stab wounds in the area of the Branksome Recreation Ground.
A spokesperson said: “Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
“Officers attended the scene to carry out enquiries and a full investigation was launched into the incident.
“On Monday, October 4, a 17-year-old boy from Poole was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.
“There will continue to be an increased police presence in the vicinity to offer community reassurance.
“Officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.”
