“We have made several changes to our services for winter, including a return to Poole Bus Station for stops which were spread out during the pandemic,” said Morebus general manager, Richard Wade.

“This follows the lifting of previous restrictions and marks a return to our pre Covid-19 bus stops.

Bournemouth Echo:

“We hope this change will be well received by those who previously had to cross the road or the car park to catch their bus.”

Previously as a result of the pandemic temporary bus stops were introduced at Kingland Road and Seldown Coach Park to create more space at the bus station in Poole.

Buses will no longer use the temporary stops except the Unibus U2, which will go from S1.

Unibus routes U1, U2, U3 and U4 will be resuming as the new term starts, alongside several routes having Monday to Saturday timetable reintroduced.

Mr Wade said: “I’m also pleased to report that our Unibus routes U2 and U4 are to run once again, after a break last year.

“After a very challenging 18 months, it is wonderful to be welcoming our customers back on-board our buses.”

Route 40, 50 and 60 will be the services which will see the Monday to Saturday reintroduced, with new times from Swanage to Bournemouth for the number 50 buses.

“The new timetable comes into effect on Sunday 19 September. We will also be producing new timetable books and refreshing our roadside signs over the coming weeks, to reflect the changes,” added Mr Wade.

As part of the changes route 30, 31 and 70 will be suspended for the winter period.

Route 32 will be re-routed in Oakdale away from Kingsbere Road via Pound Lane, direct to Dorchester Road; which is due to an experimental road closure by BCP Council.

Morebus recently introduced a new app to help customers plan journeys, track buses in real time and purchase tickets.
