BANK holiday weekend saw the return of the ‘sporting Glastonbury', in Bournemouth 7s, as thousands of sports and music fans congregated at the rescheduled event.
Despite approximately 30,000 punters and over 300 teams coming together, it seems visitors were all on their best behaviour as Dorset Police confirmed no arrests were made.

Not only were no arrests made, but there were also no significant incidents or crimes reported to police across the whole of the three day event.
Chief inspector Bryan Duffy, of Dorset Police, said: “We worked very closely with event organisers this year to help ensure the safety of those attending.
“This included a full command structure being in place throughout the weekend, as well as the sharing of key force campaign messages to prevent offences from occurring in the first place and ensure people looked after each other.
“No arrests were made during the event.

“We are pleased to say that there were no significant incidents or crimes and this is testament to the overall safety and security provision provided by the organisers.”
Ella Eyre headlined the music along with DJ sets from the likes of Majestic, Rene La Vice, Krakota, James Haskell and Arron Crascall.
