A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed during an altercation in Slades Farm on the weekend.

Dorset Police received a report at around 4pm on Saturday August 21 that a teenage boy was injured in a confrontation in Slades Farm.

Officers attended with the ambulance service and located the 16-year-old boy on Wallisdown Road near to the University Roundabout.

He had sustained facial injuries, which are not life-threatening, and was taken to hospital for treatment. 

Cordons were put in place to allow for thorough examinations of the area to be carried out.

Detectives investigating the assault are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Constable Michael White, of Bournemouth CID, said: “A full investigation is underway into this incident.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Slades Farm and witnessed what happened to please contact Dorset Police.

“Finally, I would urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please come forward.”
