POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two more bikes were stolen from a caravan park in Purbeck

Between 10pm on Saturday July 24 and 7am on Sunday July 25, two bikes, which had been left inside the awning of a caravan, were stolen at the Hunters Moon Caravan Park near Wareham.

A white Giant Anthem mountain bike and a black Laufey Orbea bike were taken along with a bottle of Prosecco.

The Orbea bike was subsequently found damaged behind the toilet block of the campsite but the Giant bike is still unaccounted for.

The incident is being linked to a further incident where bikes were stolen at the caravan park on the same night.

Officers investigating the theft are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Police Constable Phil Pearson, of Purbeck police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who has any information that might assist our investigation to please come forward.

“I am also issuing an image of the bike that has not been recovered and would urge anyone who comes across a similar bike being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances to please get in touch.”
