Police dealt with 200 teenagers at Canford Cliffs beach on Friday night.

As part of the ongoing Operation Sandman, officers from Poole's neighbourhood policing team dispersed the crowd.

A force spokesperson said: "So far tonight one teenager has been warned about being confrontational with officers. When the crowd dispersed he soon changed his tune.

"A second teenager was stop searched for drugs. He was found in possession of balaclava... in summer? He was dispersed from the area using Section 35.

"A second male was given a section 35 dispersal direction for swearing at Police and playing offensive music loudly."

Officers said mostly there was polite behaviour - and a reduction in the amount of broken glass.

Previously, police have warned people their use of beach huts could be rescinded permanently if evidence is found of antisocial behaviour or “block parties”.

Operation Sandman is aimed at targeting large groups of teenagers drinking in Sandbanks, boy racers and beach fires.
