TRAVELLERS have set up an unauthorised encampment at Poole stadium lorry park.
Checks are now being carried out by BCP Council and proceedings will begin to evict them from the site.
A spokesman for BCP Council said there are currently eight living units and associated vehicles and statutory assessments are under way.
Police step up patrols in the Littledown area
A large group of travellers took over part of the main car park at Sandbanks over the bank holiday weekend but were moved on.
During the previous week there was an unauthorised camp on football pitches at the Littledown Centre in Bournemouth.
