A LIFEBOAT crew was alerted after a worker on a tugboat suffered a hand injury.
The Swanage Shannon Class lifeboat was launched at 1.38pm on Saturday and sped to the tug, which was three nautical miles south west of Durlston Head.

The tug was travelling between Southampton and Weymouth and the crew member needed to be evacuated.
The injured crew member was transferred to the lifeboat which was met by an ambulance at Swanage boathouse.
The casualty was handed over to waiting paramedics.
