PALLETS have been placed outside a shop in Poole to prevent rough sleepers following an increase of complaints to police.
Officers have received an increase of complaints regarding a congregation of street drinkers and rough sleepers in Ashley Road.
On Wednesday, March 17, police officers attended the area and dispersed the group.
This included speaking and liaising with the landlord of G&T's World of Cards, removing bedding and personal possessions, and organising pallets to be placed to block the entrance where people are sleeping.
The personal possessions that were removed by officers have been safely stored for the individual to access when required.
Officers have also liaised with housing association St Mungo's to ensure the individuals are receiving support and will be appropriately housed as soon as possible.
