AS a resident of Hamworthy for over 40 years and seeing it over developed already, we do not need any more housing. The infrastructure cannot cope with any more traffic.
The only good thing Poole council has done for Hamworthy is providing the new library. They gave us the Twin Sails Bridge or Twin Fails Bridge as it should have been called instead of the fixed span bridge that was designed 30 plus years ago and a £9 million road improvement at Hunger Hill, which in my opinion is far from an improvement.
They couldn’t even get the railway in Poole Park running, which is fundamentally a child’s ride. Can we trust the new council with a large development like the power station site?
Make the site into a park or pleasant open space and give something back to the residents of Hamworthy and visitors to Poole.
