Thousands of people have flocked to Bournemouth this weekend as the summer sun continues to shine.
The seafront and gardens were full to bursting as holidaymakers jostled for space around Bournemouth Pier.
We can confirm Bournemouth beach is pretty busy today (this video doesn't do it full justice) 😎 #heatwave #Bournemouth pic.twitter.com/xRgTuhMvCH

Ice cream and food kiosks saw building queues, with sunbathers also spilling onto the grass in the Lower Gardens.
Elsewhere across the county, motorists queued for hours on the A351 Sandford Road until Wessex Water abandoned roadworks as a result of the severe congestion.
Took almost 2 hrs to get from A35 wareham turnoff to the point of roadworks. Absolutely horrendous.

And the congestion was not just on the main roads...
@dorsetpolice @dorsetforyou  roads into Lulworth are now 1 way streets.just spent 20 mins reversing back down the hill trying to avoid everyone turning around.  Coaches can't get down the hill. chaos..put the no parking cones back..like you do when its quiet.. Or yellow line it

Spectators were out in force at Winton Carnival as well. See here for full report and pictures
And in Poole, the annual Folk on the Quay festival got off to a great start with Morris dancing, country dancing and much, much more.
But the Met Office issued a weather warning for possible storms in some parts of Dorset on Sunday. Full details here
