ON Saturday I went to the New Forest for what should have been a lovely day out.
Driving down the Christchurch Bypass, I was gobsmacked by the amount of roadside litter with coffee cups, fast food, plastic bottles and crisp packets.
This tide of litter lasted until well into the New Forest and it made me feel sad and angry how people can do this.
They seem to care more about their car interior than that of the environment.
How hard is it to put your litter in a bag and bin it when you get home?
The laziness and selfishness of some people is quite simply bewildering.
Standards are dropping in this country and we need to smarten up!
