AN elderly woman remains fighting for life after she was critically injured in a collision with a car on Wednesday evening.
The 90-year-old pedestrian was taken to Poole Hospital following the crash on Lymington Road in Highcliffe around 5.40pm.
The collision occurred at a traffic-light controlled crossing west of the Globe Inn pub.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police yesterday confirmed the woman was still in a life-threatening condition. She suffered multiple fractures as a result of the collision and remains in the critical care unit.
Crash investigators closed the road for several hours.
