YOU don't need me to tell you that it's COLD outside. And at times like these, with snow ever present but never actually materialising and glowing cheeks on every other advert on the tellybox, people start to think about mulled wine.

Personally, I can never decide if it's not an abomination - a really stupid way to ruin a good bottle of wine, or a really clever way to liven up a poor one.

Mulled cider, on the other hand, I love, especially with some added dark rum or whisky.

So: what's your take? If you love mulled wine, how do you make it? (You can send us a recipe by using the green "Send your news" button at the top of this page.) Is it perfect for a winter evening or would you prefer to stick with the red stuff as it is? Or do you just prefer a glass of sherry?
