KENNY Vaughan has hijacked Christchurch’s pursuit of Kish Chengadu to bring the defender back to Victoria Park.

The Bournemouth Poppies chief further bolstered his squad ahead of pre-season by completing the signing of the New Milton Town man.

Chengadu, who linked up with Christchurch for training earlier this month, looked to be on his way to Hurn Bridge after Graham Kemp revealed that he was trying to capture the centre-half.

But Vaughan moved quickly to take his summer signing spree to four, with Jason Harvell, Ollie Phillipson-Masters and Scott Arnold having already joined the Poppies revolution.

“He came through our ranks at Poppies but then went to Dorchester before being loaned to New Milton,” explained Vaughan.

“We’re really happy to get him back. He’ll definitely do a job for us, without a doubt.”

Vaughan revealed he was working on two more potential signings in a bid to finalise his 18-man squad for the next Wessex Premier Division campaign.
