A pedestrian has been hurt in a road accident in the New Forest this morning.

The 70-year-old man was injured in the crash in the centre of Burley.

The pedestrian was involved in a collision with a blue Peugeot being driven by a 27-year-old woman close to the Queens Head public house at the junction with Ringwood Road and Pound Lane.

According to police the man suffered minor bruising as a result of the collision that happened just after 10am today.
