A CHRISTCHURCH-based charity is offering people the chance to scale the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The Cicely Foundation, set up by Steve and Maureen Cliffen, is organising the trip to raise funds for the Cicely Peace Matunda School and Orphanage in Tanzania.

The two-week expedition, scheduled to take place in October, includes a two-day safari, cultural tour and time at the orphanage as well as the climb to the summit.

The cost of the trip is £2,200, which also includes a contribution to the centre.
