BUSBY the Westbourne wonder dog is turning his talents to television with a live performance on the Alan Titchmarch show on ITV.

The talented terrier, who already has his own website and YouTube space and performs at charity events, schools and nursing homes, is taking some of his top tricks to the masses at 5pm on Tuesday, March 2.

His owner, musician Claudette Evans, who has written 12 children’s books and a number of songs starring her pet, said: “It’s live. I’m very scared but it makes no difference to him.

“He loves it – it’s a game for him.”

During their minute-long slot Busby will perform to “Dog in a Million”, written by Claudette, putting rubbish in the bin, fetching the mail – but binning the junk mail – answering the phone and bringing over a bottle of wine.

The performance comes after the pair auditioned together for Britain’s Got Talent last month, which didn’t quite go to plan, according to Claudette. Simon Cowell began by repeatedly calling Busby “Busty”, then he was spooked by a camera and chased it, before turning his attention on the judges.

“The best thing was when he stood in front of Piers Morgan, barking at him,” she added.

“That was too much for me – I just burst into laughter.”

Despite rallying support from the audience, the pair didn’t make it through.

“I didn’t care one way or the other,” added Claudette.

“It was a good laugh and a brilliant day out.”

Busby, whose talents also include basketball, quoits and working out on his own Army-style agility course, is now set to star in his very own DVD, which is being put together by Claudette.
