YOUNGSTERS in Bournemouth can get up close and personal with a range of creatures at the Oceanarium’s Close Encounters week.

Children will be able to handle a variety of creatures including the friendly bearded dragon and investigate the world of the coral nursery with its super starfish and amusing cleaner shrimp as the event runs every day from Saturday February 11 to Sunday February 19.

Visitors can also find out more about the Oceanarium’s biggest stars from the scary looking Moray eel “Scarface” to the adorable pufferfish “Pam”, and can nominate their own favourite creature for the attraction’s top ten list.

The Oceanarium is now also offering behind-the-scenes feeding experiences to allow visitors to get even closer and help feed some of the best-loved creatures.
