AUTHOR: Jacqueline Wilson, and below, fans queue for her booksigning at Castlepoint in February 2007
BEST-selling children’s author Jacqueline Wilson drops into Borders in Bournemouth Square at 4pm on October 14 to sign copies of her latest book.
The author, who is known for tackling controversial topics in her novels for young people, will be signing copies of Hetty Feather and the new Tracey Beaker Nintendo DS Game.
The author is expected to attract large numbers of fans so the store is issuing 200 tickets on a first come first serve basis.
Back in 2004 more than 3,000 fans queued to meet her at Waterstones Castlepoint store with the author signing autographs for eight hours.
Tickets costing £1 each are expected to be in store on Monday but in the meantime interested people can leave their details with Borders.
Proceeds from ticket sales go to local charity Tracey-Ann House part of the Youth Cancer Trust.

Liz Mellor, children’s supervisor at Borders, warned people that tickets were likely to be snapped up fast.
She said: “This will be her first visit to our store. She is quite a fan of Bournemouth apparently. There has been a lot of interest as she is an extremely popular children’s author and has lots of programmes on television as well.”
People are limited to buying four tickets per person or 20 tickets per school.
