A BODY has been found in the Wareham area in the search for a missing man.
Wayne Wigley, 64, was reported as missing having last been seen leaving an address in the Chickerell area of Weymouth on Friday morning, February 14.
But on Sunday morning, February 16 at around 9.50am, officers carrying out searches had found the body of a man in the Wareham area.
While the body has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be Wayne and his family has been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, Dorset Police's spokesman said.
He added: "Our thoughts are with Wayne’s loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
"We would like to thank all those who have assisted in the search efforts and members of the public who have contacted us to provide information."
