A MAN was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Poole after suffering a medical episode.

Police were called to the scene of the crash in Poole Road at the junction with St Aldhelms Road in Branksome at 4.42pm on Saturday, February 18.

A silver Mercedes was involved in a collision with a red Vauxhall before colliding with roadworks in the area.

Officers attended and a road closure was put in place for more than three hours.

Drivers were urged to avoid the area.

The male driver of the Mercedes was taken to Poole Hospital by the ambulance service as a precaution.
