Van "completely destroyed" after catching fire on Christchurch bypass
A TRANSIT van caught fire on the A35 Christchurch bypass on Sunday night.
Fire crews were called at around 10.40pm to tackle the blaze, which happened near to Waitrose at Fountain Roundabout.
Police officers arrived at the scene shortly afterwards and closed the road.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the Citroen panel van, registered to a man from Salisbury, was "completely destroyed" by the fire.
It is thought the blaze started in the engine.
