A BRITISH Airways flight destined for London Gatwick has landed at Bournemouth Airport this morning.

The A319 Airbus, which took off from the Cote D'Azur Airport in Nice, was diverted and landed at around 8.30am.

A spokesman for the airport said bad weather at Gatwick was the cause of the diversion of flight BA2621 and said an Easyjet flight from Jersey is also due to land at Bournemouth instead of Gatwick this morning.

Thunder storms in the Gatwick area have led to flights being diverted to a number of different UK airports.
