A WOMAN has appeared before magistrates charged with two counts of child neglect and assault.
Ildiko Kato, aged 36, of Broadgate, Ladybridge, is accused of wilfully assaulting, ill-treating, neglecting, abandoning or exposing a child under 16 in a manner likely to cause them unnecessary suffering.
The charges are dated on May 29 and May 30, while Kato is also accused of assaulting a woman in Bolton on May 30.
She did not enter a plea and has been remanded in custody.
