A state-of-the-art £11m leisure centre has been had to make repairs to its ceiling only eight months after it opened.
The revamped Westcroft Leisure Centre, which was reopened in January, was short listed for the best community building award at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Regional Building Excellence Award, but since then has had a series of problems.
Customers complained of leaking sewage and an understocked library in March, and now leaking pipe has prompted emergency repairs.
A council spokesperson said: "A small leak in a pipe above the fitness suite has been reported at Westcroft Leisure Centre, resulting in a number of ceiling tiles having to be removed for repair work to take place.
"No classes have had to be cancelled as a result of this issue, but we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to users of the centre."
