A BOURNEMOUTH property developer is auctioning off a £100,000 Ferrari once owned by Sir Elton John.

Philip Oram has decided to sell the Ferrari Testarossa at London auction house Coys, hoping its previous famous ownership will add to it’s prestige and price.

The rare 1991 512 TR only has 2,100 miles on the clock and was purchased new from Maranello by the Rocket Man singer.

It was driven 1812 miles in his ownership before being auctioned at Christies in 2001 for £98,000.

Mr Oram bought the car from another local owner as an investment and has not driven it.

It has a price estimate of £90,000 to £110,000 and Mr Oram is also selling a 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Supersport Cabriolet, with an auction estimate of £40,000 to £45,000.
