WALLISDOWN Road, between Boundary Roundabout and University Roundabout, has re-opened after a crash.

A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital with a head injury following a collision with a car at 4.20 pm. His condition is not life-threatening.

The collision, involving a blue Vauxhall Astra taxi registered to a Bournemouth company, happened between the Boundary Road and Bournemouth University roundabouts. 

Road closures were put in place and buses diverted away from the scene.

Taxis in Bournemouth are Yellow NOT blue.
The vehicle in question was a Private Hire Vehicle and NOT a taxi.
There is a big difference. Please try and get it right in future!

Why close the roads for minor accident and cause traffic jams for miles. Seems like a student crossing the road at the wrong place The students on bikes ,dark clothing and no lights. Police should send some one to Uni and give some classes in road lessons
