- Around 70 firefighters from Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service dealt with a fire at Lytchett Minster School's theatre block.
- A huge plume of smoke could be seen for miles.
- Press liaison firefighter Dave Arundel said there will be firefighters at the school for the next 24hours. The building is "lost".
- The most likely cause of the fire is believed to be a lightning strike. Other lines of enquiry are also being looked at.
