CREW members from Poole RNLI were called to the rescue of two jet skiers yesterday.
The Poole lifeboat was launched at 12.05pm on Friday to reports of a jet ski in difficulty just outside the entrance of Poole Harbour by the chain ferry.
When the lifeboat volunteers arrived on scene they found that two people reported to be in the water had made it to the beach at Shell Bay.
The lifeboat crew checked the couple over as they had been in the water.
According to an RNLI spokesman, they were very cold but okay.
The jet ski hire company retrieved its equipment and took it back to shore, and the casualties were taken back by the mobile Coastguard unit.
