DIRECTED by Bent Hamer, who previously made Factotem, this quirky Norwegian film is firmly in the tradition of the charming comedy Elling.
Odd Horten (Baard Owe) has driven the same train route every day for so long that the rest of his life has become a routine of comfortable rituals. But his orderly, solitary existence is about to give way to a future of perplexing questions as his retirement approaches.
Having gone off the rails, as it were, Horten encounters all manner of eccentricity from the blindfolded car driver to a new dog and an old love – he even finds himself in a pair of women’s high-heeled shoes.
