CLLR Beesley in his letter (September 11) has admitted that we will not get an ice rink or a pool on the Waterfront site, a clear indication that the council under his leadership will follow its own agenda irrespective, it would seem, of the needs and wants of local residents and taxpayers.
Quite how he can reconcile his plans for arts, music, dance and 'community activities' (what can he mean?) with the various assembled fairground rides is beyond me.
As has been pointed out, much of what will go on there will be dependent on good weather.
Therefore a pointless exercise.
