I MUST take up Christine Dyke’s letter regarding the Canford Bottom roundabout .
I, too, use it regularly and when it first opened I did not like it.
However, as it was before the change I felt I used to take my life into my hands trying to negotiate the roundabout with cars flying at me from the right – either coming from the bypass or from Ferndown.
Now I can pull out with confidence knowing nothing is going to be driving at me from the right.
Yes, there are a lot of traffic lights but they do change quickly and to get round is far more stress free.
However I do think more signage – further away from the actual roundabout – is needed for people who are not local in order that they may get into the correct lane.
The writing on the road is too near the junction and is more often than not covered over by the cars in front.
Local people have got to know which lane to get into now but visitors are finding it very difficult.
