1) IN various areas fencing is being painted black. Surely the green colour used for many years would look better when the lichen falls from many trees.
Lighting columns and lampposts are also being painted a very dark green (almost black).
The lichen will also make them look light green.
2) Would it be possible to ask the drivers of lorries collecting all of the bins of kitchen, garden and re-cycling waste to record the potholes on the roads and pavements (ie names of roads and house numbers) instead of someone going around the town spraying a circle, square or rectangle of white paint around them?
3) Can we hope that the crazy idea of the play area on the Queen’s Park Golf Course will be put on the unused football pitch by the car park?
4) Charminster Avenue and Road etc could alternate trees to be pollarded to leave the others looking attractive. When the pollarded were back to normal the others could be cut back. (This year all of the trees in Charminster Avenue were pollarded and the trunks looked dreadful).
5) Instead of double white and yellow lines on the roads, why not have single white, yellow and red lines on the roads ie no parking for anyone on the red lines.
