WHILE the Imax isn’t perhaps the prettiest of buildings, I have always wondered why the council was so keen to spend £8million of our money (or £100 per household) to demolish it and restore the missing ‘view’ it obstructed.
Then I realised, it's the view from the balconies of the proposed Nautilus plan! Suddenly the rejected scheme to ‘lower the roof’ makes sense too.
What a hideous waste of taxpayer money simply for the benefit of private developers!
