FOLLOWING the letter from David Atherton it would appear that the controversy regarding dogs on beaches is still raging.
Dog owners insist on the right to exercise their pooches while parents complain about dogs frightening their children and leaving their excreta everywhere.
A simple solution would be to allow dogs on the beaches Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays and children on Tuesdays,Thursdays and Saturdays.
Sundays could be kept free of both species enabling us to doze in our deckchairs without the risk of a nip on the ankle or a ball in the face.
