THE age of romance is not dead.
For St Valentine’s Day I gave my beloved a 99p bag of popcorn and a tube of bathroom sealant, accompanied by a three-year-old card without an envelope.
I am a firm believer that ‘it is the thought that counts’.
In return she treated us to a mind-numbing evening walking around IKEA.
Wonderful.
