MY beautiful cat Maisie was killed by a car on Redhill Drive early in the morning on Friday December 9. She was only 18 months old.
I would like to say a big thank-you to the kind ladies who got her out of the road, wrapped her in a towel and got her back to me so that I could say my goodbyes to her.
I have no idea who these ladies were, but I am so grateful that they each took the trouble to stop and help. I hope they weren't too late for work. It shows that there are still good people out there willing to help others.
And can I also plead with anyone who drives down Redhill Drive and other busy roads to watch their speed, else our pets just don't stand a chance.
