I AM not a traveller but just an ordinary holiday camper.

I work hard all year round and pay my taxes both local and national, as well as all my other bills. I vote as well and have a lot to do with my local community. Only twice a year, preferably during the spring or summer, I enjoy to take a camping holiday.

I hitch up my caravan to my car and set off into the wilderness, mostly using routes on country A or B roads, where I can mostly annoy fellow car users in the long queue behind me.

However, now I am beginning to understand the Travellers’ point of view. Instead of having to set-down on expensive caravan sites, where I also have to pay for electricity etc, I want, as an alternative, to be able to park up anywhere I like and have free electrics, water and all, delivered to me.

If the local councils cannot accept that, then I want them to create lots of sites throughout UK where I so easily park up my caravan for at least two weeks. And for free!

It will all help to make for more fun during my two-week camping holiday. I can even bring the kids.

I demand my human rights.
