IN response to a letter from Paul Taylor where he claims that, ‘Thatcherism is back and I blame Clegg’.

No, it was Tony Blair, who under the banner of New Labour, continued with Thatcherism including selling off council houses and going into wars when we here were under no threat.

Paul refers again to the subject of tuition fees.

Those were introduced by Labour.

Liberal Democrats were saying if they won the general election, those fees would have been phased out. But as we all know, the Conservatives won, but not with a workable majority.

The Liberal Democrats are out- numbered five to one by the Conservatives and it is impossible to get all their policies implemented, although about 65 per cent have been introduced.

The trouble with Paul and others is they like to complain but put forward no proposals themselves.

Therefore we have David Cameron, who is in my mind a closet Liberal. Nick Clegg, is Deputy Prime Minster, but with a reduced number of MPs, while Ed Milliband and Ed Balls have no answers to anything and are seen as weak.

The Greens have the worse taxation policies of all the major parties, where we would all end up stony broke and UKIP seem to just make it up as they go along.

I say to Paul, if you want Liberal Democrat policies, then vote for them, not walk away and let the others back in.
