THERE used to be a saying ‘The customer is always right’ but that went by the wayside years ago. Now everything is for the benefit of big business.
We are told that soon we will no longer be able to pay by cheque. Obviously credit cards and direct debit will replace cheques, however inconvenient this may prove to us. Neither of these are totally safe, especially credit cards.
But since prices went up drastically, it would mean carrying dangerous amounts of cash to pay our grocery bills nowadays. And what about the occasional donation to our favourite charity?
Back to the old days when the customer was the important person!
