IN this supposed time of austerity for all, I find it most irritating and frankly insulting to the residents of Christchurch, to witness scaffolding being erected around the Council building in Saxon Square, which houses the Mayor’s parlour.
This, facing the High Street, is in full view for all to see. Surely, even if the funds for whatever work has to be done was voted for some time ago, this could have been postponed until a less tactless time than prevails now.
This does, in my view, show nothing but contempt for the residents and a ‘Blow you Jack, I’m alright’.
