To all those people who complain that the Imax building has blocked their view, I hope you saw Snapshots in the Echo, Monday Dec. 13th, showing Pier Approach in 1936 and the Swimming Baths under construction. You will have noticed that the car park behind the Imax was built on previously. Now if Bournemouth Council decide to redevelop that, you would have something to complain about. I can remember the sea front promenade being open to traffic and being able to drive along it to see all the Christmas Lights. Plus, what today is the footpath from the Pier to East Cliff, being a road.

All prior to the flyover and the BIC of course.

Now, it is all talk of more cinemas, eateries, flats, repetitive retail, and still the possibility of a casino.

And what did Labour do, provide for 24 hour opening, 7 days a week. Making Bournemouth loud and unsafe at night?
