On Thursday September 30 the Bournemouth Echo carried in inquest report into the tragic death of Steven Anthony Parsons in a crash last May on the Christchurch bypass.

He was my sister Bethaney’s boyfriend and I would like to say how kind and considerate he was. He was the most caring person I have known and never came in without a smile.

Steven wasn’t your average teenager, he was different.

He was a brother, a boyfriend, a son and had many friends, including Paul and Justin.

I loved Steven as did many people, especially my sister, and his loving family, including his father, who could not have done more for him.

Steven had the sort of personality that everybody wished they had; he was naturally funny, giving and kind.

He may have driven fast but there is no way he would try to hurt anybody.

I wasn’t the only one who loved him dearly – the 100 people who attended his funeral did as well!

That’s the real Steve, not an aggressive dangerous driver who would put anybody’s life in danger.

He had control of his car at all times.

The one time he didn’t it cost him his life.
