Well done to the Daily Echo for highlighting the fact that our council is holding £18 million of our money in reserves (September 27).

Surely this must be an indefensible amount when front line services are being reduced daily.

In the past around £6 million used to be the norm, but it would appear this present council is expecting an additional pay out.

Come off it – let’s not build up these reserves only to possibly offer them back to the electorate next May.

Front line services are being cut to the bone, the elderly being particularly affected, so use the money where it belongs, for the people.
