Cllr Tony Woodcock (Have your Say September 1) is trying to frighten the horses again with his pre-Christian fairy story. The fact is that our national debt is 60 per cent of our national annual income. Most households could only dream of such an annual income. Most households could only dream of such a low ratio of debt to earnings. Of course, this does not apply to multi-millionaires David Cameron and Nick Clegg.
Gordon Brown used the money to save our economy after it was nearly wrecked by the bankers. Perhaps Cllr Woodcock was looking the other way.
