I WOULD like, through the Daily Echo, to thank all the people who helped me after my accident in my garden.

I am 83 years old and I was feeding the birds early in the morning.

As I went back to the greenhouse I had a dizzy spell and tripped and went through the greenhouse, smashing the glass, which ripped through my arm. Luckily my neighbour had stepped into his garden and rushed round and called the ambulance. Thank you Matt.

The paramedics came in five minutes and were wonderful. Thank you to the two ambulance men who took me to Poole Hospital and kept my spirits up.

They were great and even came to the operation room to see if I was OK. Thank you both.

Then, last but not least, the doctor, Mike, who patiently sewed up my wounds, which took him two hours. He made a wonderful job. They have healed beautifully, Mike. A very big thank you to Mike and to all the nurses who were so kind. I am so very grateful to them all.
