It’s been many years since my wife and I wrote to the Echo extolling the virtues of our younger generation. Then it was the lads and lassies of the 3rd Christchurch Boy’s Brigade.
We have since taken on another interest which gives so much pleasure – taking our youngest granddaughter to ballet and tap and modern dancing lessons. It has given us a new lease of life.
For three years now she has danced in shows at the Lighthouse, Poole presented by the Footlight Dance Academy along with the most talented bunch of kids you could wish to see.
This year’s performance of The Little Mermaid by more than 200 youngsters was, to say the least, fantastic and the production, music and choreography, simply stunning. My wife and I are back in the mood of ‘extolling of virtues’, this time with great pride.
Congratulations, boys, girls and young ladies for an incredibly enjoyable show.
